Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service in the United States is seeking a Senior Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles with precision, following MAP guidelines and dealership, manufacturer, and company repair standards.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive technician / mechanic experience required.
• ASE certifications in lieu of experience.
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics.
• Valid Driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Possess State Inspector License or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire date.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical School experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses vehicles according to certifications/experience.
• Performs work per Multi-point Inspection or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Performs complex and heavy-duty repairs.
• Explains diagnosis and needed repairs to customers or store management.
• Documents recommendations in customer file.
• Follows safety procedures and reports concerns.
• Work flexible schedules, including weekends as needed, but never Sundays.
• Adheres to Sun Auto’s core values and policies.
