Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service is hiring an Senior Automotive Technician in Texas. You will diagnose vehicles, perform multi-point inspections, and complete complex repairs with accuracy while communicating findings to customers and management.

Eligibility includes automotive experience, a valid license, and preferably ASE certifications. The role offers paid time off, holidays, insurance options, a 401(k) with match, and advancement opportunities with Sundays off.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive technician experience required.
• ASE certifications in lieu of experience.
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized diagnostic equipment.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess State Inspector License or able to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical School experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience.
• Performs work as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Performs complex and heavy-duty repairs.
• Explains technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals such as the Store Manager and customers.
• Recommends services to keep the customer’s vehicle running and documents in the customer file.
• Follows safety procedures and reports concerns to supervisor.
• Work flexible schedules, including weekends as needed; but never Sundays.
• Adheres to company policies and core values.
