The United States Postal Service (USPS) is seeking a Lead Automotive Technician at the Dulles VA VMF facility in Sterling, VA. The role leads lower level technicians, performs complex repairs on postal fleet vehicles, and ensures safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid state driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Two years of unsupervised driving experience in passenger cars or larger.

Responsabilités

• Diagnoses operating difficulties on a variety of vehicles and performs checks on engines and major systems.
• Conducts road tests before and after maintenance and updates work orders with repair time estimates.
• Maintains vehicle maintenance records and reports on repairs and labor hours.
• Provides guidance to mechanics and technicians on difficult repairs and use of diagnostic equipment.
