Job summary

Our client in Austin, TX is seeking a Vehicle Technician 1 to join the Maintenance Department supporting Fleet Operations. You will configure, diagnose, maintain, and sign off on vehicles for safe on-road operation and perform scheduled maintenance and repairs.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of technician experience, extensive knowledge of vehicle maintenance methods and tools, and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of technician experience
• Extensive knowledge of vehicle maintenance methods, techniques, parts, tools and materials
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects

Responsibilities

• Configure, set up, maintain, diagnose, and sign off on vehicles for safe on-road operation
• Perform scheduled vehicle maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal performance
• Coordinate and drive the repair process, escalating issues to engineering teams as needed
• Create diagnostic test plans and maintain detailed service records and quality reports
• Maintain shop facilities, tools, and workspace for a safe and efficient environment
