Job summary

Gills Point S Tire in Redmond, OR, seeks a Level 2 Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of vehicle systems in a fast-paced shop. You will work on engines, suspensions, brakes, electricals, and HVAC while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• 5+ years of hands-on automotive repair experience.
• Vocational or technical automotive training preferred.
• ASE Certifications preferred but not required.
• Willingness to pursue ASE certifications with company support.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to perform automotive repair work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair a variety of vehicles and machinery to keep them safe and efficient.
• Engine Repair: replace worn components, tune-ups, cooling system maintenance.
• Suspension and Steering: inspect and repair power steering, alignment, and suspension.
• Brakes: service hydraulic and brake systems, ABS/ESC as needed.
• Electrical/Electronic Systems: diagnose wiring issues, test with fuses/relays, sensors.
• Heating & Air Conditioning: diagnose and repair HVAC, refrigerants, compressors.
• Pursue ASE certifications with company support where applicable.
