Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service in Plano, TX is seeking a Senior Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair customer vehicles with accuracy and efficiency. You will perform advanced diagnostics and repairs to meet MAP guidelines and dealer standards.

We offer competitive pay ($30.00–$45.00 per hour), closed Sundays, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, holidays, insurance, 401(k) with company match, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive technician / mechanic experience required.
• ASE certifications may substitute for experience.
• Ability to operate computerized diagnostic equipment.
• Valid driver's license.
• State Inspector license within 30 days where applicable.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical School experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses vehicles according to appropriate certifications/experience.
• Performs work as outlined on the MPI/Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Performs complex and heavy-duty repairs.
• Explains diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
• Recommends services to keep the vehicle in running condition; documents in file.
• Follows safety procedures and reports concerns to supervisor.
• Able to work flexible schedules, including weekends; never Sundays.
