Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service in Texas is seeking a Senior Automotive Technician to diagnose vehicles, perform multi-point inspections, and complete repairs with accuracy. You will explain diagnoses to customers and staff, follow safety procedures, and work flexible schedules, including weekends as needed, while upholding the company values.

Qualifications

• Must have previous automotive technician/mechanic experience.
• ASE certifications can substitute for experience.
• Ability to use computerized diagnostics equipment.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Possess State Inspector License or obtain within 30 days (where applicable).
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical School experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose vehicles according to certifications/experience.
• Perform work per Multi-point Inspection and repair orders with accuracy.
• Carry out complex and heavy-duty repairs.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and staff.
• Recommend necessary services and document in the customer file.
• Follow all safety procedures and report concerns to supervisor.
• Work flexible schedules, including weekends as needed (not Sundays).
• Adhere to Sun Auto’s policies and values as outlined in the handbook.
