Job summary

Poway Honda, part of the Sonic Automotive family, is hiring an Automotive Service Technician in Poway, CA. The position offers a pay scale of $35.00–$55.00 per hour, based on experience and certifications.

Responsibilities include diagnosing, inspecting, and repairing vehicles to dealer and factory standards, mentoring apprentices, and maintaining accurate service documentation while ensuring high CSI. Must have a valid driver's license and be authorized to work in the USA.

Qualifications

• Diagnose, inspect, and repair vehicles to dealer and factory standards.
• Identify safety/maintenance needs and communicate findings to Service Advisor.
• Stay current on manufacturer training and technical bulletins.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect, and repair vehicles accurately and efficiently.
• Perform work on repair orders, including complex diagnostics and repairs.
• Identify additional needs and communicate findings to the Service Advisor.
• Road-test vehicles to verify repairs and ensure proper operation.
• Maintain documentation of diagnostic findings, repairs, and parts used.
• Collaborate with Advisors, Parts, and technicians to complete repairs.
• Mentor apprentice technicians and share knowledge.
• Pass pre-employment testing including background checks and MVR.
