Job summary

Asbury Automotive Group is seeking an Automotive Service Technician in Plano, TX. The role involves diagnosing and repairing vehicles, performing routine maintenance, and documenting work on repair orders.

You will work with service advisors and participate in ongoing technician training to stay current with new technology. Candidates must have basic tools, be a team player with strong mechanical abilities, and be able to pass a background and drug screen.

Qualifications

• Must have basic tools and strong mechanical skills.
• Must be a team player and able to handle repetitive tasks.
• Must be eighteen years or older and have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background & drug test).

Responsibilities

• Make accurate use of the multi-point inspection form on each vehicle.
• Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
• Communicate with service advisor when additional work is needed or repairs cannot be completed in time.
• Maintain technician proficiency as specified by Asbury standards.
• Perform diagnostic and repair work across engines, transmissions, electrical systems, HVAC, steering, and suspension.
• Complete warranty repairs with proper sign-offs and time-keeping.
• Ensure vehicles are returned clean and free of damage.
