Job summary

Asbury Automotive Group in Jacksonville, FL seeks an Automotive Service Technician to repair vehicles, diagnose issues, and provide outstanding guest experiences. You will use standard tools and perform multi-point inspections to ensure quality service.

Candidates should have strong mechanical skills and be a team player, capable of working on complex tasks. ASE certifications and manufacturer certifications are highly preferred. This role offers weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have strong mechanical and technical skills.
• Must be a team player and able to work on complex tasks.
• Must be at least 18 years old; valid driver’s license required.
• ASE certifications heavily preferred; Manufacturer certifications heavily preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make accurate use of the multi-point inspection form on each vehicle.
• Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
• Communicate with service advisor when additional work is needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
• Maintain technician proficiency as specified by Asbury standards.
• Conduct road tests to verify work performed and verify repairs.
• Perform all levels of diagnosis and repair on vehicles; perform preventive maintenance.
• Utilize manufacturer training and participate in training programs.
• Maintain customer satisfaction index (CSI) at or above goals.
• Complete warranty repair orders and file warranty claims; report safety concerns.
• Return vehicles clean and ensure customer satisfaction upon delivery.
• Comply with federal, state, local regulations and company policies.
