Performance Driven Workforce in Dearborn, MI is seeking a full-time experienced automotive mechanic for a prototype environment, performing diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on cars and trucks. The role involves independent project tasks and collaboration with customers and team members.

Shifts include AM day 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM and PM night 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, with overtime as needed. A minimum of 4 years experience, own tools, and ability to read written procedures are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of work experience as a Mechanic.
• Own tools with rolling toolbox and ability to work overtime and weekends.
• Ability to read, comprehend and execute written procedures.
• Knowledge of mechanical assembly and ability to operate shop equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicle functional condition by working off repair orders or leader instructions and conducting inspections.
• Repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions and replace parts and components.
• Read, interpret, and follow service procedures.
• Maintain vehicle records by entering notes, service, and repair orders.
• Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairs.
• Participate in daily shop organization and clean-up.
