Job summary

The State of Alaska, Department of Transportation & Public Facilities, Anchorage International Airport, is seeking two Mechanic - Automotive - Advanced Journey/Leads to support Keep Alaska Moving. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment, engines, drive trains, hydraulics, and electrical systems; roadside service; and routine maintenance with required hand tools.

Qualifications

• Must be able to troubleshoot and repair heavy duty engines and drive trains.
• Experience with hydraulic systems and related components is preferred.
• Ability to perform routine maintenance, service, and safety inspections.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, analyze and repair gasoline and diesel engines.
• Repair and rebuild drive train components and hydraulic systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical system failures; perform roadside service and inspections.
• Maintain shop records including work orders, parts orders, and time sheets.
