Placements24 is seeking an experienced Automotive Electrical Systems Engineer in Upington, Northern Cape. You will design and validate electrical systems for next‑generation vehicles, including wiring harnesses, power distribution, and component integration.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
5+ years in automotive electrical design.
Experience with wiring harness design and integration.
Proficiency in electrical CAD and simulation tools.
Knowledge of CAN/LIN and diagnostics.
ISO 26262 familiarity is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Design and develop automotive electrical systems, including wiring harnesses and power distribution modules.
Create detailed schematics, 3D models, and specifications for components and systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration.
Perform electrical system simulations and analysis to predict performance.
Develop and execute test plans validating component performance against requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during development and production.
Ensure compliance with automotive standards and customer requirements.
