General Motors is hiring for a senior hardware engineer to own the electrical design of in-house display modules, from concept to release, across architecture, schematic design, BOMs and PCB layouts. You will lead EMC and SI/PI reviews and define power behavior, ensuring alignment with GM requirements and validation milestones.

You will coordinate with software, systems, mechanical, validation, and suppliers to resolve cross-functional issues, select components, and produce release-ready

Competenze

• Candidate has a degree in electrical engineering and substantial automotive hardware exposure.
• Proven track record in architecture, schematic capture, and PCB development for embedded modules.
• Experience with DFMEA, worst‑case, signal integrity, EMC, and design reviews.
• Ability to define interfaces, review designs with suppliers, and drive decisions to closure.
• Familiarity with automotive validation, durability, and regulatory requirements.
• Hands-on EMC testing support and debugging expertise with EMI/EMC practices.

Mansioni

• Own the electrical hardware design for in-house display modules from concept through release.
• Develop and review schematics, BOMs, PCB layouts, and design docs to GM specs.
• Lead hardware reviews including EMC, high-speed interfaces, power sequencing, and SI/PI.
• Perform design analyses: worst-case, tolerances, startup sequencing, thermal reviews.
• Define power architecture and behavior for low-voltage, reset, wake-up, and protections.
• Lead display interfaces (SERDES, eDP/LVDS, touch MCU interfaces) as applicable.
• Collaborate with software, systems, mechanical, validation, and suppliers to resolve issues.
• Support component selection, sourcing strategy, and approved parts list adherence.
• Ensure DV/PV readiness with test planning, diagnostics, and regulatory compliance.
• Create DFMEA, issue tracking, interface definitions, and release docs.
