American Axle & Manufacturing Inc is seeking a Senior Cost Estimating Analyst to drive cost evaluation for automotive components and tooling investments. You will work with Engineering, Cost Estimating and Purchasing to ensure accurate BOMs and competitive sourcing, while identifying cost reductions across programs.

Ideal candidates hold a engineering degree with 4–6 years in automotive cost analysis, strong analytical skills and ERP experience.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent (4–6 years automotive experience preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with MS Office; familiarity with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP) is a plus.
• Willingness to travel ~15% to plant and supplier sites.

Aufgaben

• Evaluate and analyze cost changes for products/processes including tooling investments.
• Costing Engineering BOM for new and current programs.
• Support Purchasing to ensure market competitive sourcing and bids meet standards.
• Maintain and update cost analyses with real-time quotes and technical data.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Cost Estimating, Purchasing and suppliers.
• Identify and implement cost reductions and process improvements.
• Record market studies for commodities to identify material cost trends.
• All other duties as assigned.
