Responsibilities

• Build, validate, and defend financial business cases for cost reduction and direct material savings.
• Partner daily with cross-functional team to size opportunities and support negotiations.
• Analyze supplier quotes and cost drivers using should-cost thinking and cost breakdowns.
• Create supplier fact packs and negotiation support materials; track progress to savings targets.
• Monitor savings governance, documentation standards, and approval requirements.
• Interpret complex data across multiple systems; communicate status, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Support reporting for purchasing finance (flow-through, carryover, incremental savings concepts).
• Maintain high accuracy and process discipline in financial models, trackers, and presentations.

Location: Auburn Hills, MI 48326 (Onsite)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (flexible as needed)

Pay: $43.77/hr

Summary

Hiring a Cost Analyst to support a high-impact value creation program focused on reducing direct material cost for current production vehicles/parts. This Cost Analyst role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in cross-functional work, builds strong business cases, and can validate savings opportunities using clean, defensible analysis.
