Job summary

Axius Group LLC is seeking an Estimating Manager to lead the estimating and quotation process for aerospace components and assemblies. You will translate customer requirements into competitive, profitable proposals and supervise a small team of estimators across cost elements including labor, materials, tooling, and outside processing.

Qualifications

• Significant estimating, costing, quoting, or pricing experience in aerospace/defense manufacturing.
• Typically 7–10+ years of progressively responsible experience in estimating or pricing.
• Experience with AS9100 environments and estimating databases is preferred.
• Experience quoting government contracts and familiarity with FAR/DFARS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating and quotation process from RFQ through final proposal submission and pricing approvals.
• Develop detailed estimates for machined, sheet metal, formed, fabricated, welded, and assembled components and related processes.
• Coordinate supplier quotations, identify cost drivers, and develop contingencies for incomplete information and material volatility.
• Coach and develop estimating staff, allocate workload, and ensure accuracy and pricing integrity.
