Job summary

Monolithic Power Systems, Inc. in Chandler, AZ is seeking an Applications Engineer to join the Automotive BMS Product Line. You will test, debug, and optimize products, develop application notes, and create PCBs and EV kits while supporting key customers.

The role requires MSEE or higher with 2–5+ years BMS experience, strong battery knowledge, and fluency in English. CAD tools and test equipment will be used daily in a fast-paced hardware environment.

Qualifications

• MSEE or higher is required.
• 2–5+ years of experience, with BMS experience preferred.
• Solid battery knowledge including SOC/SOH derivations.
• Experience with test equipment such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, SMUs, signal generators.
• Strong communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Test and debug products for the Automotive BMS line.
• Create PCB schematics, BOMs, and layouts for EV kits and reference designs.
• Support GUI and basic Python scripting for battery management systems control.
• Assist in writing application notes, test specs, datasheets, and customer collateral.
• Provide technical support to key customers.
