Job summary

Monolithic Power Systems, Inc. (MPS) is seeking an experienced Sr. Application Engineer to advance tomorrow’s automotive power management solutions.

You will work with customers, design engineers, sales, field applications, and marketing to deliver system-level solutions for ADAS, infotainment, telematics, and lighting. You will own customer support, develop reference designs, and contribute to publications and technical notes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years work experience in power management IC product development or hardware engineering.
• Experience promoting/marketing ICs and driving design wins by providing system solutions.
• Automotive application experience a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain deep understanding of automotive applications including ADAS, infotainment, telematics, lighting and more.
• Own the support for assigned customers, build close relationships with engineers at customers.
• Develop customized solutions and reference designs.
• Author articles for publication in trade magazines and journals, application notes and whitepapers.
• Evaluating and debugging the operation of new ICs.
• Test and analyze customer failures, provide system-level assessments, and report on root cause.
• Provide technical training to field team and customers.
• Occasional domestic and international travel (10-20% of the time).
