American Honda Motor Co., Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Product Development Engineer for Automotive Accessories in Raymond, OH.

You will lead end-to-end engineering development of genuine vehicle accessories from concept definition through first article inspection to achieve QCD targets. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of automotive experience, with strong CAD, blueprint reading, and project management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in the automotive or powersports industry.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling, technical blueprint reading, and vehicle packaging data.
• Strong project management, supplier collaboration, and technical communication abilities.
• Understanding of automotive accessory manufacturing processes (molding, stamping, electronics).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Planning to define vehicle accessory lineups that drive sales and profitability.
• Partner with tier-1 accessory suppliers to ensure designs achieve predetermined cost and quality targets.
• Coordinate with base vehicle (CBU) engineering teams to ensure seamless fitment, aesthetics, and ease of installation.
• Create and manage integrated engineering project schedules, tracking deliverables to tight milestones.
• Ensure comprehensive dealer installation instructions and technical manuals are completed on time.
