Job summary

PACCAR is seeking an Automation Test Cell & Facility Engineer to design, implement, and continuously improve automation and control systems in the Engine Test Laboratory. You will support calibration, testing, and validation of hardware and software, driving tool improvements and test-cell infrastructure across programs.

You will work with cross-functional teams to raise test quality, safety, and efficiency, and explore new automation technologies and instrumentation for future engine

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years in automation/control systems for engine test labs.
• Proficiency with AVL systems and Siemens hardware.
• Knowledge of diesel engine and exhaust aftertreatment operation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement automation and control systems for engine test cells and facility operations.
• Support tooling for calibration, evaluation, and validation of hardware/software in test cells.
• Continuously improve testing tools and testing processes.
• Assist facility upgrades and new test cell development initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Research and implement new automation, instrumentation, and testing technologies.
