Job summary

Teradyne in North Reading, MA seeks a Senior Product Compliance Engineer to ensure automated test systems meet safety standards throughout the lifecycle.

You will lead risk analyses, define performance levels, and work with design and manufacturing to implement protective measures, while supporting third‑party certifications. The role requires a strong background in functional safety and excellent cross-disciplinary communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required; master's preferred.
• 8+ years in product or system safety engineering in automation/robotics.
• Experience supporting safety compliance for automated test systems or robotic cells.
• Familiarity with ISO 12100, ISO 13849, IEC 61508, IEC 60204, IEC 61010-1 standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and document risk assessments and hazard analyses.
• Define required performance levels and verify them via safety protocols.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing to implement protective measures.
• Support third‑party certification and audits (CE, TUV, SEMI).
• Develop safety training for engineers, technicians, and operations.
