Job summary

Teradyne is seeking a Product Compliance Engineer for its San Jose, CA area. The role focuses on leading product safety and EMC compliance across Teradyne test divisions, interfacing with design teams to drive early risk assessment and pre-compliance work.

The candidate will manage safety analyses, maintain Test Reports and Technical Data Files, and coordinate external testing with labs and certification bodies. Domestic and international travel (up to 10%) may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; master’s preferred.
• 5+ years in product safety and compliance engineering.
• Strong knowledge of IEC/EN 61010-1.
• Familiar with SEMI S2/S8 and IEC 60825-1 (nice-to-have).
• Knowledge of SEMI (S2), NFPA70, EN61010, EN60204.

Responsibilities

• Manage product safety and EMC compliance activities with development teams.
• Coordinate testing events with certification bodies and labs.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards (CE, NRTL, SEMI).
• Perform product safety analysis from schematics to system designs.
• Maintain safety reports, CDFs, and TCFs.
• Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
