Job summary

Teradyne seeks a Senior Product Compliance Engineer in North Reading, MA. The role focuses on ensuring automation and test systems meet safety standards and regulatory requirements throughout the lifecycle.

The candidate will lead risk assessments, support certifications (CE/TUV/SEMI), and collaborate with design teams to implement robust safety architectures. A strong background in industrial automation or robotics and hands-on safety testing are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Master's preferred.
• 8+ years of product or system safety engineering experience, preferably in automation/robotics.
• Strong understanding of functional safety and risk assessment methodologies.
• Familiarity with ISO 12100, ISO 13849, IEC 61508, IEC 60204, IEC 61010-1 and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and document risk assessments, FMEA/FMEDA, and hazard analyses for new and existing products.
• Define required performance levels and verify performance levels with functional safety protocols.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure protective measures and control architectures are properly implemented.
• Support third-party certification and audit processes (e.g., CE, TUV, SEMI) and maintain compliance documentation.
• Develop and deliver safety training for engineers, technicians, and operations staff.
