Job summary

Automation Solutions, Inc. in Birmingham, AL is seeking an Automation Project Manager to lead multiple automation and controls projects up to $4 million from kickoff to customer acceptance.

You will coordinate engineering, purchasing, fabrication and installation teams, manage scope, schedules, budgets, and changes while ensuring safety and quality. You will supervise cross-functional teams, review proposals, develop schedules, track costs, and communicate status to customers and management.

Qualifications

• Engineering, engineering technology, project management, business, or related field preferred.
• PMP or similar certification helpful but not required.
• 3+ years of project management or leadership in industrial/manufacturing environments; 5 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review proposals, PO, and project requirements to establish scope and commitments.
• Develop and maintain schedules, budgets, milestones from design through installation.
• Coordinate priorities with managers; track risks and drive corrective actions.
• Lead customer communications, meetings, decisions, and closeout tasks.
• Coordinate teams and suppliers; resolve technical issues with engineering.
