Talon Hiring Solutions is partnering with a client in Greater Birmingham, AL, to hire a Project Manager for the Automation Solutions team. You will oversee multiple industrial automation and controls projects from planning to installation and customer acceptance.

You will manage scope, schedules, budgets, resources, and customer relationships while coordinating with engineering, purchasing, fabrication, and installation teams to ensure successful delivery.

Qualificações

• 3+ years of project management in industrial/manufacturing environments; 5 years preferred.
• Experience managing multiple projects, schedules, budgets, and stakeholders.
• Experience in industrial automation, controls, robotics, or systems integration preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and follow-through skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct supervision.
• Ability to interpret technical proposals, equipment requirements, and drawings.
• Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, robotics, electrical controls, and mechanical systems; programming a plus.
• Proficient with spreadsheets and project scheduling tools.
• Engineering or related degree; relevant experience may substitute for degree.
• PMP or similar credential a plus but not required.
• Travel to customer facilities up to 30% and valid driver’s license.

Responsabilidades

• Manage multiple projects with values up to $4 million from kickoff through acceptance.
• Develop project plans: scope, schedules, budgets, milestones, and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate with engineering, purchasing, fabrication, controls, mechanical, and installation teams.
• Monitor labor, materials, equipment costs; track forecasts and variances.
• Handle scope changes and approvals before new work begins.
• Maintain customer relationships and provide regular updates.
• Lead project meetings; document decisions and actions.
• Oversee testing, installation, shipping, site readiness, and commissioning.
• Drive project closeout with punch lists and sign-off.
• Promote safety and capture lessons learned for future projects.
