Job summary

Mission Design & Automation is seeking a Project Manager to drive custom automation projects from kickoff to completion in Holland, MI. You’ll coordinate customers, engineers, designers, and builders, shaping schedules, budgets, and requirements with clear, proactive communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent project management experience in automation.
• 5+ years of experience in the automation industry.
• 3+ years of experience in project management.
• History of successfully managing multiple customer contacts and projects at various stages.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact between customers and internal project teams.
• Lead project teams through kickoffs, scope and engineering changes, scheduling, budgeting, open issues, and risk analysis.
• Provide clear direction and facilitate collaboration between engineering, design, controls, fabrication, assembly, and other internal teams.
• Identify and anticipate project needs, resolve issues, and take action to keep projects on track.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, milestones, and deliverables to ensure projects meet customer and company expectations.
• Prepare and communicate project status updates, proactively addressing and escalating critical concerns when needed.
• Support Business Development by providing project expertise related to timelines, costs, resources, and execution requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, internal teams, and project stakeholders through clear and consistent communication.
• Demonstrate strong leadership, organization, problem-solving, and attention to detail while managing multiple priorities.
• Take ownership of assigned projects, work independently, and drive projects through successful completion.
