Job summary
The Chemours Company is seeking a Manufacturing Technology (MT) Automation & Process Control Engineer to join the Nafion™ materials team at the Fayetteville Works site in Fayetteville, NC. The engineer will provide automation, process-control, instrumentation, and electrical-system expertise to improve safety, quality, yield, and uptime.
Responsibilities include implementing control-system modifications, configuring DCS/PLC systems, supporting capital projects, and coaching plant personnel
Qualifications
- BS degree in Engineering with at least 5 years of automation and control experience.
- Experience troubleshooting DCS and PLC in a manufacturing environment; programming knowledge to diagnose problems.
Responsibilities
- Provide automation, electrical, instrumentation, and process-control support for manufacturing operations.
- Develop and implement automation and control-system modifications, from small improvements to major capital projects.
- Configure, modify, and troubleshoot DCS and PLC systems for existing and new processes.
- Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, automation, and control-system issues affecting operations.
- Serve as alarm and interlock system guardian for the assigned area.
- Support and lead RCFA activities involving electrical and control-system equipment.
- Support electrical-safety initiatives and plant programs.
