Job summary

The Chemours Company in Belle, WV is seeking a Process Control Technician to join the Manufacturing Technology team. The role focuses on supporting DCS/PLC systems, instrumentation, and process control hardware in production and utility units.

You will perform configuration, upgrades, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting while collaborating with operations, engineering and maintenance, all within a Process Safety Management framework.

Qualifications

3+ years’ experience with instrument/electrical and control system applications.
Excellent DCS/PLC troubleshooting skills.
Ability to effectively communicate across functions (Operations, Technical, Engineering, Maintenance).
Strong capability / experience reading and understanding drawings - single line, power, P&ID, Configuration logic, controls schematics, and ladder logic diagrams.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Proficiency with standard industrial control system software, diagnostic tools, and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

Monitor, implement and maintain DCS and PLC Systems, and associated infrastructure.
Logic Configuration and Console Graphic/Database Configuration.
Data Structure Configuration and life-cycle management.
Provide day-to-day troubleshooting support of process automation systems to operations.
Troubleshoot operator stations / HMIs, including software and hardware.
Manage Networking Environment and IT Connections to the Process Control Systems.
Monitor Alarm Management and Process Historian performance.
Support improvements to existing process control systems with engineering and maintenance teams.
Adhere to Process Safety Management (PSM) standards and participate in safety reviews.
