Job summary

Vantive is seeking a Maintenance Engineering Technician (MET) to support automated production equipment, perform proactive maintenance, and drive process improvements at our Mountain Home, Idaho facility. You will collaborate with engineering, quality, and suppliers to optimize equipment uptime and reliability.

The role requires hands-on experience with electrical/pneumatic diagrams, PLC systems, and a proactive approach to safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum HS Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Technical Associates degree (2 year) preferred.
• Minimum 9 years of applicable experience/demonstrated skill required, or 3 years as a Principal Maintenance Technician.
• Must have experience with basic hand tools.
• Must be able to read electrical and pneumatic diagrams, knowledge of hydraulics preferred.
• Strong communication skills; able to work with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintain automated production machinery to reduce downtime and meet production schedules.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance as required to ensure equipment availability.
• Lead contractors with little engineering support on projects.
• Train new Maintenance Technicians in all aspects of their job.
• Develop and implement state-of-the-art maintenance practices and process improvements.
• Coordinate with production, quality, engineering, drafting, purchasing and suppliers for plant operations and capital projects.
• Investigate root cause technical issues and mitigate them as an individual or team.
• Lead a technical team to implement new processes.
