Job summary
FGX International, part of EssilorLuxottica, is seeking a qualified technician to maintain and service automated distribution-center equipment. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and computer-controlled systems and perform preventive maintenance with attention to safety and documentation.
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in automated systems, familiarity with robotics and SAP Plant Maintenance, and a collaborative, detail-focused mindset.
Qualifications
- Associates degree in Engineering/Engineering Technology or certification from a technical training program in electrical repair and maintenance.
- 3+ years’ experience troubleshooting and maintaining automated equipment.
- Strong analytic skills to understand automated systems and isolate problems.
Responsibilities
- Provide diagnostic checks and preventive maintenance on distribution center automation equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or computer-system related issues and repair/replace components.
- Read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics for repairs.
- Assist with applications development as needed.
- Document changes and repairs in SAP Plant Maintenance.
- Maintain equipment and ensure rapid return to service after faults.
