Job summary

Deckers Brands is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to maximize safety, reliability, and uptime of DC equipment through advanced troubleshooting, repair, and day-to-day technical leadership. The role requires strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and automation systems, with the ability to guide others and make timely safety decisions.

Responsibilities include diagnosing PLC-based control faults, coordinating maintenance, and partnering with Engineering and vendors to improve equipment

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of industrial, manufacturing, distribution, or automated material-handling maintenance experience.
• Experience connecting to PLC-controlled equipment and diagnosing faults via PLC logic, I/O, sensors, drives, networks, and related controls components.
• Experience with PLC, controls, and automation platforms used at the local facility preferred.
• Experience providing technical direction, delegating work, and delivering on-the-job training, as well as coordinating major breakdown responses.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults in PLC-controlled equipment and determine root causes.
• Repair complex electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and material-handling systems; perform preventative maintenance.
• Lead troubleshooting activities, delegate work, and monitor progress to meet safety and reliability goals.
• Maintain thorough documentation of work orders, repairs, and training records to support continuous improvement.
