Job summary
Ferrotec (USA) Corporation in Livermore, CA seeks an Automation Manager to lead a multidisciplinary automation team supporting advanced manufacturing systems, including high-voltage power supply systems, electronics controller firmware, and C#-based control software for next‑gen equipment.
You will direct robotics automation for wafer handling, ensure safety and quality, mentor engineers, and align technical work with business goals while maintaining standards and compliance in semiconductor
Qualifications
- 7–15 years of hands-on engineering software development with industrial control or automation.
- Strong ladder logic, structured text, HMI scripting, and PLC programming experience.
- Experience with PLC hardware, field bus networks, I/O modules, and motion control subsystems.
- Embedded C and real-time OS programming capability.
- Desktop apps development with Visual Studio and C#/.NET.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for a multidisciplinary automation team.
- Oversee development, integration, and lifecycle management of high-voltage power systems and firmware.
- Lead software and controls efforts using RSLogix, Beckhoff, and C#-based control software.
- Direct robotics automation for wafer handling with emphasis on reliability and safety.
- Mentor engineers, ensure standards compliance and on-time project execution.
