Job summary
Lilly is seeking an Automation Engineering Leader in the United States to provide technical leadership, mentor a process control team, and oversee design, commissioning, and validation of automated manufacturing systems. The role requires strong experience with DeltaV, DCS/SCADA, and MES integration, along with GMP exposure.
You will lead cross-functional teams, coordinate with Process Engineering, and drive strategic automation initiatives for capital projects and new product introductions.
Qualifications
- Minimum B.S. in Engineering and experience in Automation Engineering, preferably in small molecule API, biologics and/or cell therapy manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and mentor automation team across design, controls philosophy, implementation and commissioning.
- Lead/participate in design reviews and DeltaV application software reviews; attend equipment and software FATs.
- Develop and implement the Automation Engineering Project Plan and support capital projects.
- Coordinate DCS/SCADA software design, coding/configuration and testing (logic, graphics, batch software).
- Support commissioning and validation activities; maintain validated state of site control systems per GMP.
