Job summary

Lilly is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer - Automation Engineering to support site operations and capital projects at the Indianapolis area. The role focuses on Instrumentation and Control hardware, DeltaV and Rockwell PLCs, and ensures GMP-compliant automation across projects.

The candidate will mentor peers, lead commissioning and qualification activities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams while supporting startup phases planned 2026–2028.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field required.
• 8+ years in pharmaceutical or highly regulated environment.
• Experience with DeltaV DCS, Rockwell PLC, Veeva, PI, and BMS Warehouse Monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Lead site operation support, capital project execution and commissioning & qualification.
• Translate technical concepts for executive audiences and non-technical stakeholders.
• Mentor and guide automation team to ensure compliant control systems.
