Job summary

MATRIX PLASTIC PRODUCTS, LLC is seeking a Sr. Automation Engineer to provide hands-on design, installation, troubleshooting, and optimization of automation systems including robotics and vision systems.

You will develop repeatable processes, create work instructions, and train staff on operation, safety, and maintenance. The role requires at least 5+ years in industrial automation, strong knowledge of robots, PLCs/HMIs, sensors, and safety circuits, and a proven ability to analyze and resolve

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting, troubleshooting, or developing industrial automation systems.
• Experience with industrial robots, automation equipment, and related control systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues on automated equipment.
• Follow company procedures and work instructions with reliability.
• Develop and implement automation processes and equipment operating procedures.
• Strong problem solving and root-cause analysis abilities.
• Proficient in Word and Excel (Microsoft Office).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Reliable work ethic and ability to multitask on projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical support for design, implementation, troubleshooting, and optimization of automation systems.
• Develop reliable, repeatable processes and work instructions; train personnel on operation and safety.
• Collaborate with molding, tooling, project management, and vendors to integrate equipment.
• Support continuous improvement focused on production performance, quality, efficiency and safety.
