Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a senior engineer to lead instrumentation, controls and related system designs on complex projects. You will guide teams, develop design documents, and work with clients to define requirements across 3D/4D platforms.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, performing FATs, and delivering manuals and training for end users. Domestic/international travel may be required; PE license and a technical engineering degree are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline; PE license preferred.
• 12 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required; travel up to 40% expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams to design instrumentation, controls and related systems using 3D/4D drafting.
• Review component drawings and respond to RFIs under supervision.
• Develop HMI designs, PLC, and reports; estimate LOEs.
• Lead testing and startup activities; ensure quality assurance filings.
• Develop operations & maintenance manuals and training for end users.
• Lead junior staff, provide mentoring and assess client relationships.
