Job summary

JMJ Phillip Group is partnering with a leading consumer goods manufacturer in the South Chicago, IL area to identify a Sr. Automation Engineer.

This role requires a bachelor’s degree in automation, electrical or mechatronics engineering and 7+ years of controls/automation experience in industrial manufacturing. You will contribute Rockwell PLC programming expertise and lead the expansion of SCADA systems, with Wonderware experience considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in automation engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics engineering or a related engineering discipline is required for this role.
• 7 or more years of controls/automation engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated Rockwell PLC programming experience.
• Experience implementing and expanding SCADA systems in a manufacturing plant - Wonderware experience is a plus.
• Experience managing capital projects related to power distribution and/or medium voltage transformers is a plus for this role.
