Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking an Automation Engineer to own and lead automated production lines in Bellevue, WA. You will coordinate with integrators, validate equipment during SAT, and drive uptime through preventive maintenance and rigorous failure analysis.

The role demands deep PLC and robotics experience, strong problem-solving skills, and a track record of improving OEE. CAD tools like SolidWorks/CATIA are beneficial, and MES integration knowledge is valued.

Qualifications

BS in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Controls or equivalent hands-on experience.
8+ years in automation/controls with ownership of manufacturing machinery.
Proficient with Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs.
Experience with FANUC robotics, vision, pneumatics, and safety systems.
Strong root-cause analysis using DMAIC/5-Why/8D.

Responsibilities

Lead installation, bring-up, and commissioning of automated lines with third-party integrators.
Own the SAT process, validate equipment against specs and close punch items.
Maintain uptime with robust preventive maintenance, spare parts, and failure analysis.
Troubleshoot and optimize control systems (PLCs, robotics, vision, safety circuits).
Drive CI projects to improve OEE and upgrade machinery as needed.
Develop and maintain technical documentation and schematics.
