Job summary

Experis is seeking an Equipment / Automation Engineer in Bellevue, WA to own installation, commissioning, and long-term uptime of automated production lines on site, collaborating closely with the automation integrator.

You will troubleshoot PLCs, robotics, vision systems, pneumatics, and safety circuits; lead SAT execution and punch-list closure; and drive continuous improvement with integrators to boost OEE and reliability.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Controls Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.
8+ years hands-on equipment, automation, or controls engineering with ownership of automated production equipment.
Experience commissioning automated lines including SAT, bring-up, and debug with integrators or OEMs.
Hands-on PLC programming with Allen-Bradley and Siemens.
FANUC robot programming and troubleshooting across servo, motion, vision, pneumatics, and safety systems.
Experience as a Controls/Equipment/Manufacturing Engineer in aerospace or automotive preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead installation and bring-up of automated production lines.
Own SAT execution and punch-list closure.
Maintain equipment uptime and reliability via preventive maintenance, spares management, and root-cause analysis.
Debug and improve automation controls across PLCs, robotics, vision, pneumatics, and safety systems.
Drive continuous improvement to raise uptime, OEE, and performance through upgrades and structured problem solving.
Document machine specs, drawings, spare-parts, and PM procedures.
