Job summary

Johns Manville is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer in Littleton, CO to lead complex automation projects across plants and suppliers. The role focuses on identifying options, building business cases, and implementing automation from robots to production lines with safety at the forefront.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Operations and Finance to plan, execute and finalize projects, including cradle-to-grave management for smaller initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably mechanical, controls/electrical or mechatronic.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in engineering and/or technical fields.
• Experience automating processes in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication and stakeholder influence.
• Ability to work in a matrix organization with high standards.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate automation projects to improve safety and business needs.
• Lead cross-functional teams and feasibility studies for automation technologies.
• Develop business cases and vendor partnerships for automation solutions.
• Coordinate with operations, engineering, and finance to detail project plans.
• Ensure smooth transitions to capital resources and document standard solutions.
