Amazon.com Services LLC in Fort Myers, FL seeks a Senior Automation Engineer to maximize equipment reliability and throughput in fulfillment centers. You’ll lead proactive controls, troubleshoot complex systems, and mentor engineers while improving MHE performance with state-of-the-art conveyors and SCADA devices.

You’ll collaborate across Operations, Start‑up, software, and safety teams, addressing downtime, and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automation engineering, or equivalent, or 4+ years of PLC programming or automation engineering experience.
• Flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• 4+ years of process or production environment related PLC-controlled automation and issue diagnosis experience.
• 4+ years of robotics work cells and control systems experience.
• 4+ years of Siemens, Allen-Bradley or Codesys Ladder Logic programming experience.
• 4+ years of electrical theory, robotics, controls components, and automated equipment experience.

Responsabilités

• Apply SME on troubleshooting and dive deep for engineering issues to reduce downtime of critical assets.
• Collaborate with Operations, FC Start‑up Team, software teams, ACES team, and Safety to optimize MHE systems and projects.
• Maintain and troubleshoot material handling control systems, including PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks.
• Monitor MHE metrics and analyze performance with maintenance/operations to address issues.
• Provide escalation support during and after hours to repair hardware or controls software in the building.
