Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking an Automation Engineer in Final Assembly to lead a team of manufacturing engineers in applying final assembly tooling to ensure GVOSS compliance with supplier tooling. The role involves troubleshooting, commissioning automated equipment in a production setting, and cross-functional collaboration across maintenance and engineering teams.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on technical capability, strong problem solving, and travel willingness to install and support

Qualifications

• B.S. Engineering in Mechanical or Electrical or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering.
• Willingness to travel up to 50–60% domestically and internationally (Canada and Mexico).
• Proficiency with Virtual Manufacturing tools (AutoCAD, Team Center, Vis mockup).

Responsibilities

• Assign work schedules for Controls Engineers and Designers.
• Maintain resource sheets for all Controls activities.
• Ensure quality work from controls engineers and designers; set standards and tools.
