Job summary

Responsibilities include reviewing tool design progress, advising on changes, coordinating with ME's, sign-offs, and driving cost-efficient tooling improvements. Travel to NA plants is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Review weekly tool design progress for adherence to GVOSS and industry standards.
  • Coach and advise integrators on design changes to meet product and process goals.
  • Liaise with program ME's and supervisors to update GVOSS for tooling improvements.
  • Lead sign-off during design phase to ensure correct component application.
  • Own parts selection process to ensure applicability and timing.
  • Lead mechanical engineering and tooling standards within Final Assembly.
  • Drive continuous tool improvement and cost efficiencies.
  • Manage required GVOSS updates and Tier 2 processes.
  • Supervise VTTO process for tool validation and timing.
  • Collaborate with Vendor Interface Specialists on standardization.
  • Domestic travel ~25% of time; international travel possible.
