Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in integration, industrial automation, or industrial sales.
• Experience programming PLC, HMI, and VFD (Siemens preferred).
• Experience in leading or directing teams.
• Maintain expertise in industrial/factory automation.
• Attain and maintain vendor certifications for specialized products.
• Leadership with ability to communicate vision and mobilize people.
• Strong communication across verbal and written channels.
• Facilitating multidisciplinary teams through workshops.
• Change management to drive necessary change.
• Coaching to develop skills and achieve objectives.
• Training to identify and follow up on needs and execution.
• Travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical expertise in Programming (PLC, HMI, VFD), Automation, Electrical and infrastructure products.
• Provides pre-sales support, including system engineering, product selection, BOM creation, compatibility confirmation, and process layout.
• Provides post-sales support, including programming support and training, product startup, and customer support and training.
• Acts as a technical liaison between the customer, Wesco, and vendors in system design, implementation, startup, and maintenance.
• Provides proof of concept for solving customers’ engineering and production needs.
• Makes joint and solo calls to customers and prospects.
• Assists account representatives in finding new sales opportunities by teaching and guiding.
• Executes business plans and assists in creation of plans.
• Promotes value-add of the assigned products in competitive situations.
• Participates in ongoing training to maintain technical competency in product areas.
• Partners with Purchasing, Regional Management and Sales on product, inventory, delivery, and price levels.
• Understands market conditions and identifies growth areas.
• Maintains relationships with vendor product managers and selling resources.
• Connects with client and management to showcase networking and infrastructure products.
