AT&T is seeking a Sr Specialist Member of Technical Staff to design and scale automation that improves software quality and developer productivity. You will build automation frameworks, scripts, and tools in Python, and support CI/CD in Linux and containerized environments.

This role requires office presence in Atlanta, GA, and offers collaboration across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced Agile setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in software automation, software engineering, or automation development.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Experience developing automation scripts, reusable frameworks, and engineering tools.
• Working knowledge of Linux operating systems, shell scripting, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks, scripts, and tools using Python.
• Build automation solutions that streamline testing, deployment, monitoring, and operational workflows.
• Partner with developers, platform engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable automation capabilities.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps initiatives that improve software delivery and system reliability.
• Develop and troubleshoot solutions within Linux-based environments.
• Assist with containerized application deployments using Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• Investigate and resolve automation failures while improving platform stability, scalability, and efficiency.
• Document technical designs, workflows, and automation best practices.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering practices to improve productivity and software quality.
• Stay current on emerging technologies and continuously improve delivery processes and automation capabilities.
