• Lead the design, setup, and upkeep of process control systems.
• Independently manage upgrades and capital projects, following best engineering practices.
• Keep automation systems running smoothly through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, system upgrades, and user access management.
• Regularly review and update engineering standards to keep up with industry changes.
• Ensure a safe, compliant workplace by following all safety and operational procedures.
• Support production by upgrading or installing new equipment and helping troubleshoot technical issues.
• Quickly restore equipment during downtime to minimize production delays.
• Help with capital budget planning by identifying system improvement needs.
• Estimate project costs, including labor, materials, and services.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. and international regulations (FDA, EU, Health Canada, ISO, GMP, etc.).
• Oversee on-site installations and inspections of automation hardware and systems.
• Take on additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in manufacturing automation.
• 5+ years of experience in regulated industries (e.g., pharmaceutical, FDA-regulated).
• Strong experience with:
• HMI systems
• Robotics (e.g., Staubli)
• Motor controls
• Vision systems (e.g., Cognex)
• Sensors and instrumentation
• Skilled in commissioning, debugging, validation, and process control.
• Excellent communication, organization, and ability to handle multiple priorities under pressure.
