Position Summary :
As a Senior Automation Engineer within our cybersecurity function, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our security operations. This position is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to drive innovation. You will be at the forefront of designing and implementing automation strategies that improve the efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of our cybersecurity processes.
Your primary focus will be to collaborate with the Lead Automation Engineer and the Cyber Incident & Response Team (CIRT) to identify opportunities for automation and streamline workflows. The CIRT will act as an internal customer, relying on your expertise to enhance their operational capabilities through automation.
In this role, you'll have the autonomy to experiment with cutting-edge technologies and methodologies across a wide range of tools. Your innovative solutions will be instrumental in integrating these systems to create a cohesive and robust security infrastructure.
The position requires not only technical prowess but also strategic thinking to anticipate and address future challenges. You will lead initiatives that push the boundaries of what's possible in cybersecurity automation, ensuring that our defences are proactive and adaptive to emerging threats.

Responsibilities :
Collaborate with the Lead Automation Engineer to design, develop, and implement automation solutions that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our cybersecurity operations.
Work closely with the Cyber Incident & Response Team (CIRT) to understand their requirements and deliver tailor-made automation solutions.
Utilize a broad range of tools and technologies, including SIEM, EDR, SOAR, Networking Devices, OT & Identity Management, to create innovative automation strategies.
Lead projects that drive the integration and automation of cybersecurity processes, ensuring seamless operation and heightened security posture.
Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Core Competencies:
Proven experience in automation engineering, with a strong focus on cybersecurity tools and technologies.
Expertise in working with SIEM, EDR, SOAR, and other related technologies.
A self-motivated and proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and drive projects to completion.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to innovate in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Certifications & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
5 + years in cybersecurity or related field is strongly encouraged.
Certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH) are a plus but not mandatory.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
