Job summary

JSR Tech Consulting seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join a newly formed Shared Services Engineering team supporting enterprise applications at a major financial services firm in Tampa. This contract-to-hire role blends startup-style ownership with enterprise rigor, offering hybrid work (3 days onsite).

You'll design and build CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and scalable tooling across multiple application teams, partnering with infrastructure and security groups to modernize legacy

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI.
• Strong understanding of SDLC practices; scalable automation solutions using PowerShell or Python.
• Experience with enterprise monitoring tools including Splunk, Dynatrace, or Azure Log Analytics.
• Proven ability to work with multiple teams; strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.
• Develop reusable automation frameworks, libraries, and tools for multiple teams.
• Establish SDLC best practices including branching, versioning, code reviews, and release management.
• Design GitHub Actions workflows for build, test, and deployment automation.
• Modernize legacy systems into scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Build PowerShell automation for ETL processes and operations.
• Develop logging and monitoring libraries integrating with Splunk, Dynatrace, and Azure Log Analytics.
• Modernize MFT processes and support security patching.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to maintain agility.
• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and operational improvements.
• Contribute to disaster recovery planning and system resiliency.
• Configure authentication, SSO integrations, and access management.
• Collaborate with multiple engineering teams to establish scalable patterns.
