Job summary

Schwab Technology Services in the United States seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead enterprise CI/CD modernization and automation. You will collaborate with engineering, security, and operations to deploy secure, scalable pipelines and governance across the software lifecycle.

You will mentor teams, influence platform strategy, and leverage AI-enabled tools to accelerate development while ensuring reliability. This onsite role is based in Austin, Texas.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CI/CD, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or software delivery automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with GitHub and CI/CD platforms, including workflow design, pipeline authoring, troubleshooting, and release automation.
• Apply DevOps, Cybersecurity, and Automation practices to improve delivery outcomes.
• Experience with enterprise transformation and platform migrations.
• Integrate automated testing, code quality validation, and security scanning into pipelines with governance.
• Cloud-based environments, containerized delivery, and deployment automation.
• Strong communication to influence stakeholders across engineering, security, and operations organizations.
• Experience applying AI-enabled tools or AI-assisted development practices with governance and risk controls.
• Analytical thinking to identify delivery bottlenecks and improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Drive the enterprise migration from legacy DevOps platforms to GitHub, modernizing software delivery practices.
• Partner with software engineering teams to design, implement, and optimize DevOps solutions.
• Collaborate with architecture teams to translate strategy into scalable solutions.
• Gather and evaluate requirements from teams adopting new DevOps platforms and capabilities.
• Lead platform rollout and adoption initiatives with strong user engagement.
• Build partnerships with Application Security and Cybersecurity to support secure development.
• Serve as a liaison between engineering teams and business stakeholders to translate concepts into value.
• Leverage AI-powered development tools, including GitHub Copilot, to accelerate delivery.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers in a hands-on environment.
• Balance execution with stakeholder engagement to drive outcomes.
